MediScan — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MediScan mobile application and website (together, "the Service"), operated by Boostingin Technologies ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Medical Disclaimer

⚕️ MediScan is not a medical device. The Service is an informational and organisational tool only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. AI interpretation of prescriptions may contain errors — always verify against your doctor's original prescription and consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decision. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in India) immediately.

2. Description of Service

MediScan lets you photograph a medical prescription and receive an AI-generated, plain-language explanation of the medicines on it, along with optional dose reminders, adherence tracking, and general wellness tips. All AI output is informational only.

3. Eligibility & Acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscription & Billing

Scanning and AI interpretation require a subscription of ₹250 per month, billed through Google Play. The subscription renews automatically each month and can be cancelled anytime in Google Play; access continues until the end of the paid period. Viewing already-saved prescriptions remains available without an active subscription. Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy.

6. Data & Privacy

Our collection and use of your data — including prescription images and health information — is described in our Privacy Policy, which includes your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your own data), is owned by Boostingin Technologies. You retain all rights to the prescriptions and personal data you upload; you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boostingin Technologies is not liable for any loss or damage arising from medical decisions made on the basis of AI interpretations, from OCR or AI errors, or from temporary unavailability of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (in-app or via the deletion page). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
